Tvameva Mata Significance
A verse of complete surrender: God alone is mother and father, kinsman and friend, learning and wealth, everything. It comes from the Pandava Gita, also called the Prapanna Gita, a collection of devotional verses placed in the mouths of figures of the Mahabharata, where it is spoken by Gandhari. It is widely recited at the end of prayers and also closes the commonly chanted Guru Stotram.
