Siddha Kunjika Stotram English Meaning

Shiva said: Listen, O Devi, I will teach you the supreme Kunjika Stotram, by the power of which mantra, the recitation of the Chandi becomes auspicious. 1 There is no need for कवच, nor अर्गला, nor कीलक, nor रहस्यक, nor सूक्त, nor ध्यान, nor न्यास, and nor worship. 2 By merely reciting the Kunjika, one attains the fruit of reciting the Durga Patha. It is extremely secret, O Devi, and difficult to attain even for the gods. 3 It should be kept secret with effort, like one's own yoni, O Parvati. Killing, মোহ, subduing, paralyzing, driving away, etc., are accomplished by the mere recitation of this supreme Kunjika Stotram. 4 Mantra: Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche. Om Glaum Hum Kleem Joom Sah Jwalaya Jwalaya Jwala Jwala Prajwala Prajwala Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche Jwala Ham Sam Lam Kshm Phat Svaha. Salutations to the one with the form of Rudra, salutations to the slayer of Madhu. Salutations to the destroyer of Kaitabha, salutations to the one who killed Mahisha. 1 Salutations to the slayer of Shumbha and the killer of Nishumbha. Awaken, O Mahadevi, and make my japa successful. 2 To the one who has the form of creation through Aimkara, who protects through Hrimkara, who has the form of desire through Klimkara, O you who have the form of the bija, salutations to you. 3 Chamunda, the slayer of Chanda, and the one who gives boons through Yaikara, Vichche, who always gives fearlessness, salutations to you who have the form of mantra. 4 Dham Dheem Dhoom, the wife of Dhurjati (Shiva), Vam Veem Voom, the goddess of speech, Kram Kreem Kroom, O Kalika Devi, Sham Sheem Shoom, do good to me. 5 Hum Hum, the one who has the form of Humkara, Jam Jam Jam, the one who destroys, Bhram Bhreem Bhroom, O Bhairavi, O Bhadra, O Bhavani, salutations and salutations to you. 6 Am Kam Cham Tam Tam Pam Yam Sham Veem Dum Aim Veem Ham Ksham, Dhijagram Dhijagram, tear apart, tear apart, make it bright, make it bright, Svaha. 7 Pam Peem Poom, Parvati the full, Kham Kheem Khoom, and also Khechari, Sam Seem Soom, grant me the mantra-siddhi of the seven hundred verses of the Devi. 8 This Kunjika Stotram is for the awakening of the mantra. It should not be given to a non-devotee; protect it in secrecy, O Parvati. One who recites the Saptashati without the Kunjika, O Devi, does not attain siddhi, like crying in the wilderness. Thus ends the Kunjika Stotram in the conversation between Shiva and Parvati in the Gauri Tantra of Sri Rudrayamala.

Siddha Kunjika Stotram Significance

The Siddha Kunjika Stotram is a powerful and revered hymn dedicated to the Goddess Durga, believed to be the key to unlocking the full benefits of the extensive Durga Saptashati (Devi Mahatmyam). It is considered a potent and esoteric prayer within the Shakta tradition, containing a series of Beeja mantras (seed syllables) that encapsulate the energy and power of the Divine Mother. Reciting this stotram with devotion is said to grant the same spiritual merit as reciting the entire Durga Saptashati, bestowing blessings of protection, prosperity, wish-fulfillment, and ultimate liberation while removing obstacles and negativity from the devotee's life. It is believed that the stotram awakens the dormant spiritual energy within, leading the practitioner towards self-realization and union with the divine.
