Jagchintamani Sutra English Meaning
(Asking leave:) 'Venerable one, by your wish, permit me: shall I perform the chaityavandan?' — 'I accept.' O wish-fulfilling jewel of the world, Lord of the world, teacher of the world, protector of the world, kinsman of the world, caravan-leader of the world, knower of all the world's states; you whose images were set up on Mount Ashtapada, destroyer of the eight karmas — may you, the twenty-four best of Jinas, whose teaching none can obstruct, be victorious! In the karma-bhumis, the lands of action, at most one hundred and seventy Jinas of the strongest body are found moving about at one time, with nine crore kevalis and nine thousand crore sadhus. At present there are twenty Jinas, two crore munis with supreme knowledge, and two thousand crore shramanas — they are praised every day at dawn. Victory, O Lord, victory! — to Rishabha on Shatrunjaya, Lord Neminatha on Girnar, Vira the ornament of Sanchor, Munisuvrata at Bharuch, and Parshva of Muhari, destroyer of sorrow and sin. The other Tirthankaras in Videha, and whatever Jinas there are in the four directions and between them, past, future and present — I bow to all those Jinas. Eight crore, fifty-six lakh, ninety-seven thousand, thirty-two hundred and eighty-two — to all these shrines (8,57,00,282) in the three worlds I bow. Fifteen hundred crore, forty-two crore, fifty-eight lakh, thirty-six thousand and eighty — to all these eternal images (15,42,58,36,080) I bow.

Significance
Jagchintamani Sutra Significance
The Jagchintamani is the chaityavandan that Shvetambara Murtipujak Jains recite in the morning (Rai) Pratikraman and in other rites; by tradition its first two verses were composed by Gautama Swami on Mount Ashtapada. It praises the twenty-four Tirthankaras, the Jinas, kevalis and monks now living in the karma-bhumis, the great tirthas — Shatrunjaya, Girnar, Sanchor, Bharuch — and the countless eternal shrines and images of the three worlds. The leave-asking line (icchakarena sandisaha…) is recited first, and the sutra is followed by Jankinchi, Namutthunam and Jay Viyaray.
