Significance

Ganesha Dvadasha Nama Stotram Significance

Three verses from the Ganesha Purana, spoken by Brahma, that list twelve names of Ganesha and say that whoever recites or hears them meets no obstacle at the start of study, a wedding, a journey or any undertaking. They are commonly recited before beginning any auspicious work and at the start of a puja. Longer forms circulate: the Purana itself goes on with शुक्लाम्बरधरं देवं and a further phalashruti, and a version ascribed to the Mudgala Purana adds three opening verses (beginning शुक्लाम्बरधरं विष्णुं, already in the app in another item) and one verse of benefits; only the shared three-verse core is given here.
